George Cashman is President of CIT Rail a unit of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) a leading global commercial and consumer finance company. Cashman joined CIT in January 2000 as Senior Vice President with responsibility for mechanical and financial operations pricing and structuring and contract administration. He has more than 25 years of leasing and finance related experience with the bulk of that time spent with Westinghouse Financial Services where he was Executive Vice President in charge of the Leasing Transportation and Project Finance businesses units. Cashman also started captive finance subsidiaries for companies such as GTE and PSE&G.
