Mr. Chelwick is an Executive Vice President of Miller Global and has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate development, leasing, management and dispositions. Mr. Chelwick's responsibilities have included overall development coordination, economic analysis, entitlements, leasing, marketing, property management and asset management. Mr. Chelwick has been involved in hotels and resort properties, mixed-use facilities, and offices in Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Orlando, Washington D.C., Austin, Houston, and Pebble Beach.Currently, Mr. Chelwick has primary responsibility for the development, coordination, and supervision of several hotel properties in various cities throughout the United States including the new Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel in Orlando.Mr. Chelwick also participates in identification and negotiation of acquisitions; investment analysis; supervising and coordinating due diligence; leasing; asset management and dispositions.Mr. Chelwick has worked with some of the Principals since 1974 when he was a Development Manager for Urban Investment and Development Company and served in a variety of capacities, including design, construction and development manager for high-rise CBD office projects and mixed use land developments. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Chelwick was Senior Vice President of Development for MKDG in Los Angeles. Working primarily on Fox Plaza and The Water Garden, he was involved in all aspects of those developments including construction, design, leasing, management and joint venture relationships. Mr. Chelwick was also involved in planning and economic analysis for capital improvements and renovations at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.From 1993 to 1997 Mr. Chelwick was Project Director for Development of the $600M Permanent Casino/Hotel in Windsor, Ontario working for Caesar World Gaming, Hilton Hotels and Circus Circus Enterprises under contract to the Province of Ontario. Mr. Chelwick was responsible for overall development management, design and construction coordination, entitlements and municipal, provincial and partnership relationships.Mr. Chelwick graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1974 and is a member of American Institute of Architects. |
