George Foley is the Director of Operations and Quality Assurance at ITA. George has spent nearly 10 years working in oncology health care with a wide range of experiences including direct patient care, home health infusion and corporate clinical roles in sales and marketing. These experiences combined provide George the insight necessary to understand the multiple facets of oncology patient care in order to ensure access to the highest quality, cost-effective cancer care.
George began his career as a Registered Nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and spent several years caring exclusively for oncology and acute care patients. He later joined AstraZeneca LP where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Company�s Product Safety and Medical Information departments, always with a focus in the therapeutic area of oncology.
While at AstraZeneca, George was involved in numerous efforts which proved critical to the Company�s oncology business. Of particular note, he played an important role educating health care professionals around the country on the appropriate administration of a new injectable system to improve patient safety and decrease cost. In addition, George was a contributing member of the team that initiated an expanded access program for a new targeted therapy in lung cancer.
George is a licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. He received his nursing degree from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia and holds a Bachelor�s of Nursing from Immaculata University. |
