George Kassas, is a founder of Cedar Point Communications and brings more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and cable industries to his current role. At Cedar Point, Mr. Kassas oversees and directs all partnerships, channels and alliances. In this capacity, he also serves as a liaison between Cedar Point and all Government entities at the Local, State and Federal levels. Prior to founding Cedar Point Communications, Mr. Kassas worked at Lucent Technologies in dual capacity. He led the formation and establishment of the global business operations and e-commerce of the Lucent InterNetworking (INS) division and oversaw the marketing activities of the division in Europe and the Middle East. He grew the access business in the Middle East from $1M to $40M in one year. He also grew the e-commerce business from $.5M to $16M dollars in two years and led several business initiatives that yielded in excess of $30M in operating income between 1998 and 2000. Mr. Kassas started his career at AT&T Network Systems in 1985. He led the product management and deployment activities of the International Digital Radio. He achieved 90% market penetration in targeted countries. In subsequent assignments, he assumed leadership roles for the product, market and business management of technologies such as the Digital Cross-Connect, Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) technology, Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC), Passive Optical Networking (PON) systems and Digital Video Systems such as video interdiction technology and wireless TV. In 1992, 1993, and 1994, he achieved the highest vendor recognition status given to AT&T by Pacific Bell. In 1995, Mr. Kassas was nominated by his business unit to attend the prestigious Manufacturing Leadership Program at the AT&T Business School. In 1999, he was again nominated to attend an Executive Management program at the prestigious INSEAD Institute in France. Mr. Kassas is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire High Technology Council, a member of the Board of Directors at the University of Massachusetts College of Management, and is on the National Advisory Council of the U.S. Small Business Administration. He was named a co-winner in the 2006 New Hampshire Entrepreneur of the Year competition. Mr. Kassas has a bachelors' degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. He also holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. He is a member of the SCTE, IIE and MBA Executive Association. |
