Mr. Koons' practice emphasizes products liability defense on a regional and national basis, where he frequently handles complex litigation matters. Mr. Koons has been involved in the defense of a wide spectrum of products liability matters involving the design, manufacture and warnings related to mass-produced products such as passenger vehicles, refrigerators/freezers and bicycles, as well as specialty equipment including munitions and drilling equipment. Most recently, Mr. Koons has represented international product manufacturers in high profile, residential fire cases. In addition to the products liability matters handled by Mr. Koons, his practice encompasses a variety of matters including the defense of general negligence claims, state and federal warranty claims and motor vehicle accident claims, as well as general business litigation. George is the author of Directed Verdicts & Judgments As A Matter Of Law published in the Colorado Courtroom Handbook. In addition, George was honored as 1998 Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the First Judicial Bar Association. George was admitted to practice in Colorado in 1996. He is admitted before the United States District Court, District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. George received his Juris Doctor from Whittier College School of Law in 1995 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado in 1987. |
