George Mantes serves eLeaderTech, Inc. as Chief Financial Officer. He also assists in the development of new products to help automobile dealers maintain profitability in the industry�s increasingly challenging and ever-changing environment.
Following nearly 40 years in the automotive industry as dealer/CEO of an auto dealership, Mantes sold the operation. Mantes Chevrolet Company, founded by his father in 1933, was the oldest Chevy dealership in Utah. George grew up in and around his family�s business and, although his expertise was in accounting and management, he was well skilled in the hands on management of every department. Upon assuming the helm of the family enterprise, Mantes acquired additional General Motors franchises Pontiac, Buick and Oldsmobile. He also relocated the dealership to a new showplace facility which he helped design. Mantes� peers recognize him as an exemplary dealer and a leader in the automotive industry. He served as president of the Utah Automobile Dealers Association, and was appointed by the Governor of Utah to serve on the Motor Vehicle Advisory Board, overseeing the operation of the state�s automobile industry. Mantes was elected to and served two terms in the Utah Senate from 1991-1999. |
