George has over 20 years of experience in the data analysis, systems, and computing fields. He possesses a broad range of experience in business processes and information technologies within the technology, legal, and financial services industries. He also has deep experience leading the strategic development of data management and electronic discovery solutions and services, including the integration of processes and technologies to assist and streamline investigative, litigation and regulatory consulting matters.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron, George was the Vice President of Enterprise Information Management Services for Business Objects. George was also founding partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Data Management Practice. Earlier in his career, George served as Director of Information Services for a major human resources/benefits consulting firm, as well as Manager of Technical Services for a major international law firm.
Representative examples of George's engagement experience include:
Led a team in assisting a major broker-dealer with data management and quality issues in addressing "Know Your Customer" regulatory requirements.
Managed a global team in one of the largest restatement activities for a public company in recent years. George's team provided the data analysis and CAATS work for a global technology concern that had to restate multiple years of sales information.
Engaged by legal counsel to lead an e-discovery investigation working with outside counsel and management for a major distribution entity.
Managed multiple teams in support of large scale audits where the analysis of client's electronic financial information was needed.
Audited and led an IT management investigation and made recommendations regarding the CIO/IT function of a large (Top 10) international law firm.
Led the development and implementation of document management systems in law firms, legal departments and business units within organizations.
Designed and managed procurement of hardware/software/services for a company with over 10 data centers, working with numerous system and telecommunications vendors.
Assisted a major foreign bank with data transformation and quality concerns during a front office trading and back office accounting system implementation.
Implemented an audit and checking process for a top five broker-dealer investment bank in regards to client statement discrepancies. Assisted the same client with data quality concerns regarding their customer data files.
Led a national team to provide business requirements for a major diversified financial services firm undergoing an information lifecycle management and records retention program.
Assisted a major foreign bank in response to their efforts in addressing regulatory concerns around USA PATRIOT Act compliance.
