Prior to joining Sysview Technology, Inc., Mr. Mihalakis is widely recognized for directing teams that advance the art in projection display technology, including system development, LCOS, DLP and LCD optical engines, micro-optic screens and illumination components. He is a product-based technologist with 28 years in the field, serving as a principal in startups as well as a specialist for major technology firms in the technical and business development of projection products across the value chain. Through his career, Mr. Mihalakis has been involved nearly exclusively in commercial projectors and systems, optical engines, flat projection and micro-optics production, manufacturers and OEM customers. Prior to that as CEO of Gain Micro-Optics, Inc. and then Next Wave Optics, Inc., Mr. Mihalakis established new art in the consumer optical engines field, contributing key LCOS OE architecture now used by numerous system brands. He has furthered these contributions with revolutionary next generation snap-together optical engine and system level product IP. Expert in leading technical and business talent in startup environments, his broad experience in the industry had led to new businesss, tructures and the leadership to execute them.
