George brings broad experience in venture capital, private equity, operations and technology to Tallwood. His ability to take a high-level business perspective helps him guide portfolio companies through complex decisions. George spends a portion of his time thinking about how Tallwood can expand beyond its early stage venture practice, which helps the firm plan for the future. Prior to joining Tallwood, George was CEO of eTime Capital, a troubled enterprise software and services company that he restructured to achieve optimal liquidation. Earlier, he was General Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Mayfield, a venture capital fund. Before that, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Blum Capital Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm and registered investment advisor. George also held several financial and sales management positions at NeXT Computer, where he prepared industry and company strategic overviews, developed an expanded distribution strategy and managed customer satisfaction programs.
In addition to Quintic, George serves on the boards of directors of Amulaire Thermal Technology, Astute Networks, Audience Inc., Calypto Design Systems, Crossing Automation Inc. and M2000. George holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College. |
