Dr. Zavaliagkos leads the Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing group at eScription. George is a key contributor to the field of speech recognition and language understanding since 1990. He has more than 50 publications in journals, referred conferences proceedings and book chapters. As a Senior Scientist at BBN technologies, he led several government funded projects to improve state-of-the-art of speech recognition. His BBN team was judged to be the best in four consecutive annual technology evaluations sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technologies. As a Distinguished Scientist at L&H he was a key contributor to its desktop dictation offering; he subsequently led the efforts to integrate technologies of various companies acquired by L&H, including Dragon Systems. George holds a Ph.D. from Northeastern University and Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens. |
