Gerald J. McConomy has over 30 years of experience in representing businesses and individuals. He currently represents privately-held and publicly-held businesses of all sizes. His expertise ranges from organizing start-ups, representing investors and borrowers in venture capital and other investments, representing sellers and buyers in acquisitions and mergers, and representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and other insolvency proceedings. Prior to joining Knapp McConomy Merlie LLP, he was a partner in the Philadelphia firms of Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen and Fox, Rothschild, O'Brien & Frankel.
Mr. McConomy has been retained as a defense expert in legal malpractice actions drawing on his years of experience.
Mr. McConomy graduated from Penn State University and from The University of Pennsylvania Law School (cum laude). At the Law School, Mr. McConomy was a member of The Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. He also served as President of the InterClub Council.
Mr. McConomy served as an Infantry Platoon Leader and an Infantry Company Commander in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. McConomy currently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Great Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce. He also is its Treasurer. Mr. McConomy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Chester County Bar Association. |
