Dr. Russo is a physician executive with 25 years of medical management experience. Dr. Russo has experience in DRG and CPT coding systems, including the auditing of medical records as well as advising physicians on compliance, documentation and coding. Dr. Russo has further expertise in program implementation aimed at enhancing quality in healthcare environments while maintaining cost effectiveness, including disease management, case management, and outcomes based programs.Dr. Russo received his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University, in Hempstead NY, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and his M.D. from the State University of New York Downstate Medical College, in Brooklyn, NY with postgraduate training at Pennsylvania State University and the Nassau County Medical Center. Dr. Russo is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Russo has served in academic positions at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and at the University of Connecticut Medical School. |
