Gerald J. Mehlman is a general practitioner of law, with particular expertise in estate planning, probate matters and tax law. His legal career spans almost forty years, beginning with his service in the Office of the Judge Advocate General, Department of the Navy, from 1955 to 1957. He also served as Attorney Advisor to the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. from 1957 to 1959.
Mr. Mehlman began practicing law in Los Angeles in 1960 and joined Stroock in 1987. Throughout his career he has written articles and lectured extensively on the subject of taxation before various professional organizations.
