Dr. Lorch hails from a small town in New York. He attended Tufts University in Boston where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology. This was followed by a medical degree from Tufts University. He then moved coast to coast completing a three year residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington. After two years of service in the U.S. Army he returned to Seattle for a two year fellowship in cardiology at the University of Washington. Following completion of cardiology training he entered practice at Southlake Clinic in 1974. He was extensively involved in developing King County Medic One and was its Medical Director for several years. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington. He has had numerous leadership positions at Valley Medical Center over the years including a term as Chief of Staff. Dr. Lorch currently shares time between the practice of Cardiology and his duties as President of Southlake Clinic. When not working he can be found flying or tinkering with his airplane, or traveling with his wife |
