Mr. Schwartz is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Onex Corporation, a diversified company with global operations in services, manufacturing and technology industries. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and LL.B. from the University of Manitoba and a M.B.A. from Harvard University. In 2004, Mr. Schwartz was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame and in 2005 he was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada.
In addition to serving on the boards of a number of Onex-controlled companies, Mr. Schwartz is a director of Celestica Inc., Indigo Books and Music Inc. and Vice-Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition, during the period from 2002 to 2006, Mr. Schwartz also served as a director of Vincor International Inc.
