Geraldine B. Laybourne was elected to our board of directors in June 2006. Ms. Laybourne is a Class II director. Ms. Laybourne is the founder chairman and chief executive officer of Oxygen Media. Founded in 1998 and currently available in over 68 million cable homes Oxygen is the only television network owned and operated by women. Prior to starting Oxygen Ms. Laybourne spent 16 years at Nickelodeon taking over management of the network in 1984. She has also served as president of Disney/ABC Cable Network and vice chair of MTV Networks. Ms. Laybourne currently serves on a number of boards and advisory committees including Insight Communication Vassar College The National Cable and Telecommunications Association The National Council for Families and Television and Cable Positive. |
