Gerard F. Butler joined Nutrition 21 as Co-CEO in March 2008. He was formerly Chief Sales Officer of Prestige Brands Holdings, Inc. until his retirement in 2007, and previously served as Chief Sales Officer of Medtech (Prestige�s predecessor company) since joining Medtech in 2001. Mr. Butler is a senior management executive with over 35 years of consumer products experience. Prior to joining Medtech, Mr. Butler worked for Block Drug Company, Inc. from 1974 to 2001 where he held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Sales. Mr. Butler at the age of 34 was named Block�s youngest Vice President. In the latter part of his 26 year career at Block, Mr. Butler reported directly to the president of Block Drug and provided sales, marketing and strategic leadership for all of Block�s consumer brands. Previously, he held sales management positions with Procter & Gamble and Purex Corporation. Mr. Butler has a BS degree and an MBA degree from Manhattan College. |
