UDT Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Gerard Amaro, is a pro at making a strategic plan and following it through to its successful conclusion. Along with childhood friend, Henry Fleches, Gerard started United Data Technologies (UDT) in 1995 with little more than a vision, dedication and a game plan for success. Initially, Gerard earned certification as a Novell Engineer, addressing support and high-level network problems for customers. But as UDT continued to grow, Gerard's responsibilities expanded and he took charge of sales as well. After more than a decade in business, Gerard is now responsible for managing all aspects of the UDT sales force, including sales strategy, structure, goals, revenue generation, marketing, training, and development. In addition, Gerard shares the responsibility for UDT's strategic direction with partners, Henry Fleches and Ana Soler. Educated in Business Administration at the prestigious Florida International University, Gerard works diligently to make certain that UDT is everything it needs to be to fulfill customers' expectations. To that end, he is passionately dedicated to understanding every customer's needs, and discovering technology that will bridge the distance between a customer's challenges and the best solutions available. Gerard lives in Miami Lakes with his wife and two children. |
