GERHARD BAUER Ph.D. is a corporate vice president and Global Operations & Engineering officer responsible for demand planning manufacturing engineering logistics and procurement for all Bausch & Lomb business lines. He was named to this post in 2006.
Dr. Bauer joined Bausch & Lomb in 1992 at the company�s Dr. Mann Pharma subsidiary in Berlin. He became vice president Operations at Dr. Mann Pharma in 1997 and vice president Global Operations & Engineering for Europe in 2001. Prior to joining Bausch & Lomb he worked in Germany for Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline) and Ciba Vision Ophthalmics.
Dr. Bauer was born in Munich Germany in February 1956. He received a M.S. degree and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science and an advanced degree in Pharmaceutical Technology all from the University for Pharmacy in Munich. |
