Gernot Schieszler was born in 1970. He graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. From 1997 to 1999 he was with the consultancy Czipin & Partner, where he was rapidly promoted from Consultant to Project Manager.
In January 2000 he became assistant to the CFO of Telekom Austria Group, where he played an important role in preparing for the IPO. In the year 2000 he took on the task of building up a controlling department for Telekom Austria AG and the Group. In March 2001 he became Head of Controlling. On June 28, 2006 Gernot Schieszler became Chief Financial Officer of the Telekom Austria Fixed Net.
