One of the iControl founders, Gerry brings over three decades of telecommunications, computer networking, control and automation experience, and has driven the architecture and design of the iControl services platform. Gerry spent twelve years with Echelon Corporation (one of the pioneers of control networking technology with over 40 million nodes deployed worldwide) involved in the technical implementation of device control networks and protocols and designing the main backend software platform used world-wide for deploying control and automation networks and services. As the first adopter of Java at Echelon, he developed the company's first Java and Internet-based products and was an early contributor to both the Jini and the OSGI consortiums.
Prior to his extensive career at Echelon, Gerry spent 15 years at ROLM/IBM/Siemens developing mini-computer hardware, micro-code and software while managing numerous hardware development groups. Gerry currently has 5 patents pending. |
