Gian Allen has an academic background in biochemistry and environmental health sciences, with an emphasis on air quality. He has been involved in a multitude of environmental quality projects, ranging from measuring airborne particulates in auto factories to controlling wood smoke inhalation in developing countries. In 5+ years at EME Systems in Berkeley, CA, he developed extensive hands-on experience in environmental data acquisition, instrumentation, programming and electrical engineering. He earned a B.A. in molecular and cell biology and a Master�s in Public Health, both from U.C. Berkeley.
