With more than three decades of experience as a senior executive in industrial, communications, healthcare and consumer products companies, handling legal, human resources, and public affairs responsibilities, Mr. Griffin brings a wealth of management experience to his roles with the Firm.
Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 2000, Mr. Griffin was a partner with another leading executive search firm for five years. He focused on consumer and healthcare product companies with special expertise in diversity, human resources, marketing, public affairs and law.
Before his search experience, Mr. Griffin was with the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. As vice president of employee relations, he directed the staff personnel department, corporate diversity programs, labor relations and participated in management development activities. Mr. Griffin also served as vice president of corporate relations, responsible for the oversight of public affairs activities at the pharmaceutical manufacturing sites, and civic affairs and community outreach programs for Bristol-Myers Squibb on a global basis.
Mr. Griffin previously served as vice president of management planning for CBS, Inc. vice president of corporate administration; and associate general counsel for the international advertising agency, Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon & Eckhardt, and legal counsel to the North American division of the Mobil Oil Company.
A native of South Carolina, Mr. Griffin was inducted into that state�s African American Hall of Fame in 1995. He was similarly honored by the BellSouth Corporation in 2000.
Mr. Griffin is a member of the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Executive Leadership Council and 100 Black Men of New York. He has served on the boards of the Financial Control Board of New York City, The International Radio and Television Society, The Charles R. Drew School of Medicine and Science (Los Angeles) and Benedict College (Columbia, South Carolina).
Mr. Griffin received a juris doctor degree from Columbia University Law School and a bachelor�s in English from Dartmouth College. He also served in the U.S. Army as a Transportation Corps Company Commander. |
