Gil Spencer brings to IronKey extensive experience in designing and shipping hardware and software solutions for high-volume consumer electronics. Most recently, he was responsible for next-generation software architecture at Portal Player, the provider of core processors for the Apple iPod. Prior to that he was responsible for developing the software architecture in system-on-chip devices at Genesis and VMLabs. These devices shipped in HDTVs, set-top boxes and DVD players from companies such as Toshiba, Samsung, and Motorola. Mr. Spencer also led the team at E4 that shipped the first DVD player for the Apple Macintosh. Prior to E4, Mr. Spencer worked at Apple Computer in QuickTime and System Software engineering. |
