Gil Guarino is is responsible for all aspects of his group's business from acquisition through project delivery. His clients include all the military services the Office of the Secretary of Defense national intelligence agencies and members of the aerospace and defense industry.
Mr. Guarino has established a record of success over a business career in senior and executive level management in both government and industry. His responsibilities have spanned positions in program and business management as well as strategic marketing/business development for major weapons systems enterprise information technology solutions and consulting/professional services.
Mr. Guarino retired from the Air Force as a colonel after 20 years in the weapon systems acquisition business. He served in a variety of program management positions for the F-15 and F-16 Tactical Fighters and several space system programs. His last assignment was Air Force Systems Command's Deputy Chief of Staff for Information Systems.
Upon retirement in 1986 Mr. Guarino joined Digital Equipment Corporation as a program manager rose to become director of Digital's Federal Proposal and Pricing Group. He held subsequent positions as Federal Account Manager for Digital's Federal Healthcare Business and National Director for Public Sector Marketing and Sales. In 1993 he joined SSDS Inc. a nationwide privately owned systems integrator as Senior VP for Client Development. Over the course of five years he worked as general manager for the commercial market and the northeast region.
In 1999 Mr. Guarino joined American Management Systems Inc. (AMS) and was VP of Strategic Development for the Defense and Industrial Business Unit responsible for establishing and executing AMS business and growth strategy for defense and related industry markets. In this role he was responsible for thought leadership vision and strategy to align AMS offerings with the needs of its clients in the areas of acquisition financial management and logistics. He also served as general manager for AMS' Army and Air Force business as well as Deputy for AMS' Defense and Intelligence Group. With the asset purchase of the Defense and Intelligence Group by CACI Mr. Guarino was promoted to Executive VP and now heads CACI's Defense and Intelligence Business Group reporting to the COO.
Mr. Guarino has a proven track record in achieving bottom line results while developing new organizations/teams in periods of broader organizational transformation. He is a hands-on leader and team member as he builds high energy and total results oriented organizations and teams. |
