Giorgio della Seta was born in Florence on January 2, 1936. He is married and has three children.
He was appointed Chairman of Telecom Italia Latin America on January 1, 2006.
Mr. della Seta joined Pirelli SpA in Milan in 1961. He was promoted to Resident Representative of the Pirelli Group in Central America, and Deputy Manager of the Milan tyre subsidiary. From 1969 to 1972 he worked as Commercial Manager for Pirelli SACIC in Belgium. From 1972 to 1976 he was President of the Pirelli Tyre Corporation in New York, U.S.A.
Between 1977 and 1979 he served as CEO of the Pars Tyre Company in Iran, before becoming CEO of Pirelli SACIC in Brussels. He became head of the company's representation office in Rome in 1985, and was subsequently appointed Head of Relations with Government. Mr. Della Seta became Chairman of Pirelli S.A. in S�o Paulo, Brazil, in 1995, with responsibility for Latin America. From 2002 to 2004 he served as Chairman of Telecom Italia Latin America.
Mr. della Seta is Chairman of the Board at TIM Brasil Servi�os e Participa��es S.A. and TIM Participa��es S.A., and is Deputy Chairman of Entel Bolivia
He is also a director of Telecom Argentina, Telecom Personal S.A., Publicom S.A., Micro Sistemas S.A. and Sofora Telecomunicaciones S.A. in Argentina. |
