Glen is a partner in the real estate department and serves as chair of the real estate department. He focuses his practice on complex real estate matters on behalf of developers and investors, real estate taxation, partnerships and other entity issues, syndications, public-private ventures, and specialized real estate financing techniques.
Representative Matters
Represented the City of Charlotte in negotiating with the National Basketball Association and the newly created Charlotte NBA basketball franchise the terms of an arena transaction which will result in the construction of a new basketball arena in downtown Charlotte.
Represented a New York-based client with overseas investors in consolidating over 2 million square feet of retail properties into an open-end fund structure.
Represented a large owner of storage facilities in the Southeast in a recapitalization by consolidating its assets under a single ownership structure, along with an infusion of equity by a public entity.
Represented a municipality in its equity/subsidy participation, and resulting partial ownership, in a 700-room convention hotel and related facilities.
Represented an institutional developer/investor in acquisition of a controlling interest in multiple single family club communities.
