Glen E. Dunkerson began his career with Atlas in 1978, progressing from Dispatcher to Assistant Vice President of Atlas' Relocation Services Group. Later he was named Vice President, Claims Administration where he played a key role in developing Atlas' quality initiative the Atlas World-Class Commitment program. Dunkerson was then promoted to Vice President of Atlas' Specialized Transportation Group (STG) Operations. In 2001, Dunkerson was promoted to Senior Vice President & General Manager of Atlas' STG Operations area and became President and Chief Operating Officer of Atlas Van Lines in 2006.
In his current role, Dunkerson oversees all facets of Atlas Van Lines, including both the Relocation Services Group (RSG) and the Specialized Transportation Group (STG) operations areas; Agency Development and Recruiting areas; and the Administrative Services Group. Dunkerson works closely with the Atlas Board of Directors to accomplish Atlas' goals and objectives, and ensures that Atlas Van Lines provides quality service to its customers and agents.
Dunkerson is a native of Evansville, Ind., but spent his early years in Sebree, Ky. He pursued a degree in law enforcement while attending Eastern Kentucky University and is a graduate of the University of Michigan's Quality Training. His previous employers include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Lockridge & Ridgeway and the Mayfield Kentucky Police Department. He is past President of the Claims Procedures and Prevention Council. |
