Glen T. (Tommy) Dodson is Vice President and General Manager of Passenger Systems at Rockwell Collins. He is responsible for leading and directing the business with a focus on customer satisfaction and program execution.
Dodson, who joined the company in 1978, has been associated with the in-flight entertainment business since its acquisition by Rockwell Collins. Most recently he has been supporting the development and delivery of eTES, which provides e-mail and Internet capability to the cabin along with full aircraft audio and video on demand (AVOD).
Dodson formerly served as business development director for the company's Communication Systems Division (CSD), a leading supplier of communication systems and related services to the U.S. Department of Defense and more than 27 other countries worldwide. He also served as director of satellite communications and information systems for CSD.
In 1994, Dodson was named program manager for Rockwell Collins' Secure Mobile Anti-jam Reliable Tactical Terminal program.
Dodson has held a variety of positions in the finance and contracting fields, including Manager, Financial Planning/GFA, from 1992 to 1994, and Manager, Contracts and Proposals, from 1989 to 1990.
Dodson received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of North Texas and a Master of Business Administration degree from Abilene Christian University.
Dodson currently serves on the Board of Directors for Independent Colleges of Southern California and the Mt. Baldy Chapter of the United Way. In addition, he serves on the Presidents Advisory Committee for the Harvey Mudd College of Engineering, one of the Claremont Colleges.
