Glen W. Hauenstein 45 Executive Vice President and Chief of Network and Revenue Management joined Delta in 2005. The 20-year veteran of the airline industry was most recently Vice General Director for Alitalia serving in the dual role of Chief Commercial Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer.
Under Hauenstein�s leadership Alitalia�s revenues grew by almost 20 percent while the aircraft fleet was reduced by more than 10 percent. This dramatic rise in revenue in conjunction with significantly increased asset utilization has been the lynchpin of Alitalia�s recapitalization plan.
In his role as Chief Commercial Officer he led a major restructuring of Alitalia�s route network which improved schedule connectivity by more than 50 percent.
As Chief Operating Officer Hauenstein and his team were responsible for one of the most impressive operational turnarounds in modern aviation.
Prior to joining Alitalia in 2003 Hauenstein was Senior Vice President Network for Continental Airlines where he was responsible for planning and execution of the airline�s schedule fleet and pricing and revenue management strategies. Hauenstein joined Continental in 1987 as international controller. |
