Glen Townsend serves as vice president and general manager for Kirby-Smith Machinery, and oversees the company's sales and operations out of its Oklahoma City headquarters. He has more than 40 years of experience in the construction equipment industry.
Glen joined Kirby-Smith Machinery in 1996 and has since created a strong customer support team and driven several key expansion initiatives. He has held roles in product support, sales, sales management, and has managed multiple branches. Prior to joining Kirby-Smith Machinery, Glen was general sales manager for the ACM Equipment Rental and Sales Company in Phoenix.
After serving in the US Army, Glen began his career in the construction equipment business with elevating scraper pioneer, Hancock Manufacturing Company. In 1966, Hancock was purchased by Clark Equipment Company and Glen stayed with the company, working in Atlanta, Chicago, and Lubbock, Texas as a parts manager, product support representative and parts merchandising manager. He is active in several industry organizations, and attended Lubbock Christian University in Texas. |
