Glenn W. Marschel, Jr. is CEO of Netnumber, a pioneer in the development of carrier-grade commercial services for the Internet telephone industry.
Previously, Marschel was CEO and co-chairman of the board of Faroudja, the world leader in high-quality video processing systems for home theatres and television broadcasters. Marschel led Faroudja through a transition from being a systems supplier to a fabless application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) supplier. Under his leadership, the ASIC business unit grew rapidly and constituted about 25 percent of total revenues in 2000.
For the first 23 years of his professional career, Marschel held various senior executive positions with Automated Data Processing (ADP), one of the information-processing industry's largest companies. From 1989 to 1994, he was president of ADP�s employer services group, the company�s largest and most profitable division. He also served as president of ADP�s dealer services and wholesale distribution services divisions.
Marschel served as vice chairman and chief operating officer for Atlanta-based First Financial Management Corp. before joining PageNet. During his tenure as president and CEO of PageNet, the Dallas-based company strengthened its position as industry leader, adding more than 1.5 million paging customers to its subscriber base and posting record revenues and operating cash flow during each of the quarters he led the business.
Marschel serves on the board of directors for Sabre Holdings. He previously served on the boards of Corio and Sage. Marschel holds a bachelor's degree in corporate finance and economics from the University of Missouri.
