Glenn Borin is Co-Manager of Stroock�s Tax Certiorari Group. He has nearly 30 years� experience working with complex real estate tax issues.
Before joining Stroock, Mr. Borin was Chairman of the Assessment Review Commission for Nassau County, New York, where he aided the County�s fiscal recovery by resolving a large backlog of assessment challenges. Prior to that, he was Deputy Commissioner of NYC�s Department of Finance where he oversaw the annual valuation of all property in the City, represented the City on real estate tax policy issues before the State Legislature and City Council and developed the ACRIS system for electronic recording of title documents. Mr. Borin was also Chief of Staff and Counsel for the NYC Tax Commission and Special Tax Certiorari Counsel for the NYC Law Department. He has taken part in several thousand cases involving valuation or exemption of major commercial, residential and utility properties.
