A seasoned Chief Executive Officer of public and private companies, Mr. Strickland concentrates on transition management in interim executive positions. Having the rare skill set of a successful entrepreneur with excellent turnaround management skills, Mr. Strickland is an expert in identifying the sometimes delicate crossroads of corporate growth and decline.
Previous interim management assignments have included positions as the Chairman, President and CEO of Medical Resources, Inc. (a provider and operator of medical diagnostic imaging centers) and MCSi, Inc. (a provider of integrated audio-visual and other computer technology products). At MCSi he successfully transformed the company to focus on its core business of A/V and broadcast integration after it defaulted on $130 million of secured bank debt and became the subject of an SEC investigation. His turnaround expertise also includes Chapter 11 proceedings.
In 1999, Mr. Strickland co-founded Capitol Wire, Inc., an internet based news and information service. With offices in five states, Capitol Wire generated revenue solely through subscription sales and boasted retention rates greater than 95% when the company was sold to the Associated Press in 2002.
Prior to founding Capitol Wire, Inc., Mr. Strickland served as President and CEO of the Kerr Group, a $450 million publicly traded manufacturer of glass containers and plastic packaging with more than 2,500 employees.
Mr. Strickland currently serves as financial advisor on various Boards of Directors in the public and private sector. He has a BA degree from Yale and a MBA with a finance concentration from the Wharton School of Business. Mr. Strickland also served as an officer in the US Navy. |
