Gordon J. Louttit is senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. His responsibilities include providing legal advice and counsel at the senior management level, managing corporate transactions of the board of trustees and its committees, and maintaining custody of the corporate records.
Before joining Aerospace in 1995, Louttit served as vice president, assistant general counsel, and secretary for the Whittaker Corporation in Los Angeles. He had been with Whittaker since 1978. From 1974 through 1978 Louttit worked for the law firm of Hahn, Cazier, Hoegh & Leff in Los Angeles.
In addition to his position at Whittaker, Louttit served as general counsel and secretary of Whittaker's only publicly traded subsidiary, Yardney Electronic Corporation, until that company was divested by Whittaker, and as vice president and general counsel of BioWhittaker, Inc., until 1991. He also was a member of BioWhittaker's board of directors. He continues to serve as a member of the board of directors of BioReliance Corporation, a publicly traded biopharmaceutical contract research organization.
Louttit earned a B.S. from UCLA in 1969 and his J.D. from UCLA Law School in 1972. After graduation from law school, he worked for two years for the California Department of Corporations in the Corporate Finance Department. |
