Grace Zhang is a Principal on the technology team and joined Atlas Venture in 2006.
Previously she was with SMAC, a global early-stage investment arm of Siemens Communications Group, and invested in a number of mobile application and services companies in mainland China. Prior to Siemens, Grace lived in Hong Kong and was a Senior Investment Associate in First Eastern Investment Group, a Hong Kong-based private equity investment firm with over 70 portfolio companies across mainland China 's traditional industries. She also spent three years with the Accenture Beijing office first as Strategy Analyst and later as Strategy Consultant, where she was involved in many strategy consulting projects for multinational companies as well as private and state-owned companies in China.
Grace was born in Beijing, and speaks Mandarin and fluent English. She graduated from Renmin University of China, with a major in Marketing.
