Graham is Senior Vice President, Design & Engineering, Asia Pacific, based in IHG's Shanghai regional office. He joined IHG as Vice President, Technical Services in 2002 in Singapore, bringing with him nearly 20 years of hospitality experience.
He leads the Group's design, construction and engineering team to ensure that the properties in Asia Pacific are developed in compliance with corporate brand standards, suited to the market place in which the individual properties operate, feature trend setting design and are maintained to an optimum level. Under his leadership, the Asia Pacific design & engineering team has expanded to over 40 professionals spanning the architectural, engineering, food & beverage, purchasing and spa management disciplines.
Graham started his career in the hospitality industry in 1983 as Manager of Engineering at the Sheraton Hong Kong. He was later appointed Area Engineer for Sheraton Hotels Australia Pacific Region, based in Auckland, and Vice President of Technical Services, based in Hong Kong. He has also run his own company, Hospitality Technical Services (HTS), which operated successfully for two years and completed numerous technical services and due diligence projects for various hotel groups including Starwood Europe and Asia Pacific, Caesars Casinos, BASS Hotels, CDL Hotels, Swissotel, Radisson Hotels and various hotel developers.
Subsequently, Graham joined the Europe, Africa and Middle East division of Starwood Hotels and Resorts as Director of Projects and Engineering, based in Brussels, where he was responsible for the overall direction and performance of the engineering departments of 150 hotels and completed several new build and renovation projects in the region. |
