W. Grant Scott is a partner of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP and is a member of the firm's Real Estate & Banking and Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Groups working primarily in the practice areas of real estate acquisition and development, zoning, commercial lending, real estate litigation, real estate workouts, leasehold negotiation and leasehold workouts, creditor's remedies and bankruptcy.Mr. Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia in 1983. While at the University of Virginia he served as the Judicial Representative for the McIntire School of Commerce. Mr. Scott was a four year letterman for the University's football team and received the "Most Hustle Award" for consistent dedication, the "Keller and George Award" given to the outstanding lineman and the "Robert C. Camp Award" given to the individual who consistently displayed excellence in scholarship, leadership and athletics through his/her college tenure.Mr. Scott received his Juris Doctor Degree from The Duquesne University School of Law in 1987. During his law school tenure, he was the co-winner of The Duquesne University School of Law Tax Moot Court competition and placed third nationally in the Stetson Tax Moot Court competition at Stetson University in Florida. In addition, after successfully competing in The Duquesne School of Law Trial Moot Court competition, Mr. Scott was chosen to represent The Duquesne University School of Law in the American Bar Association National Trial Moot Court competition in Richmond, Virginia. Because of Mr. Scott's excellence and high honor in courtroom advocacy, he was elected to The Duquesne University School of Law "Order of Barristers".Mr. Scott is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Florida, Georgia and the District of Columbia. In addition, he is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. Mr. Scott is a Leadership Pittsburgh graduate and past member of the Mt. Lebanon Planning Board. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Faculty. Mr. Scott serves as Chairman for the Allegheny County Bar Association�s Real Property Section Council. Mr. Scott and his wife Cindy have three children Grant III, Clay and Georgia and reside in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. |
