Grant Jones is technical advisor for the Davey Tree Expert Company. He serves as a technical advisor for residential services, provides field training, conducts tree physiology research, and teaches portions of various training programs.
Mr. Jones has a master�s degree in horticultural science from Michigan State University and a bachelor�s degree in agricultural science from the University of Nebraska. He studied the use of adaptive characteristics to screen new plant introductions in the Great Lakes states and has published several articles in peer-reviewed and industry journals.
Previously, he has worked as a landscape designer and horticulturist for a landscape contractor in Olathe, Kansas and several nursery and garden centers in Nebraska. He is a former intern at the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, Ohio and at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mr. Jones is an ISA certified arborist and a certified pesticide applicator in Ohio. He is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture, the American Public Gardens Association, and the Society of American Foresters. |
