Greg L. Hoover joined Atlas Van Lines in 1999 as Vice President, Sales for Atlas' Relocation Services Group. In 2002, Hoover was promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales Development. A year later after serving as one of the senior managers who helped create Atlas' newest subsidiary, Avail Resource Management Hoover was named President of Avail, in addition to his other responsibilities. Hoover was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer of Atlas World Group in 2005, and retained his responsibilities as Senior Vice President, Sales Development for Atlas and President of Avail.
In his current role, Hoover is responsible for the Contracts, Pricing, Sales Development, Marketing/Communications, and Corporate Events areas of Atlas Van Lines, as well as the sales and marketing programs at the other Atlas World Group companies. Most recently, he played a key role in the development of Atlas' new Accel program, offering expedited delivery for the household goods market.
A native of Mentone, Ind., Hoover holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Huntington University and is a member of the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA), the Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and is a member of the Atlas Board of Directors Advisory Group.
Hoover has been involved in the transportation industry since 1988. Prior to joining Atlas, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of A.B.C. Moving & Storage, an Atlas agent based in St. Louis, Mo. |
