Greg Denkler is senior vice president of operations for Stanley Inc. He is responsible for corporate-wide product and service delivery professional development of Stanley�s 2 300 plus employees and strategic service area leadership. With Stanley since 1989 Greg has served previously as vice president and general manager of the Information Technology and Business Systems Division; director of Army Programs; and as program manager for Navy Systems.
One of the highlights of Greg�s assignments at Stanley was leadership of the company�s Army Preposition deployment support team during Operation Vigilant Warrior in the fall of 1994. It was this event that stimulated the development of the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS) and subsequently the companion Automated Battlebook System (ABS). In 2000 the AWRDS/ABS application suite received a Computerworld/Smithsonian Institution Award for excellence in Information Technology Solutions for the Federal Government.
Greg came to Stanley from the Navy where his last active duty assignment was as a test and evaluation director for submarine weapon systems at the Naval Sea Systems Command. Prior to shore duty he served aboard the nuclear attack submarine the USS Phoenix completing three Cold War deployments including a submerged circumnavigation. Greg maintained his military affiliation after leaving active duty serving as commanding officer of two reserve submarine operational support units and on the Chief of Naval Operations political/military affairs staff.
Greg graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in oceanography. He also holds an MBA from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. |
