Greg Ainsworth manages the New York office of Daniels & Associates and is a member of the Daniels Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He specializes in mergers & acquisitions services in the Northeast and elsewhere for companies headquartered in that region. Prior to establishing the New York office, he was vice president for corporate development. Some of Mr. Ainsworth's more significant transactions have included cable system sales for ML Media Partners, FrontierVision Partners, Cox Communications, AT&T Broadband, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision Systems and Gans Communications. He has also been active in raising both debt and equity for numerous cable companies and has successfully initiated and closed several cable system trades in recent years. During his career, he has completed well over 100 cable television transactions with an estimated value in excess of $15 billion. In addition to traditional M&A activity in cable television, his expertise includes programming and satellite delivered video services. He joined Daniels in 1987 after 13 years in corporate banking at the Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. At Mellon, he was vice president in charge of the communications division, which he organized, developed and directed. It specialized in financing the cable television, radio and broadcast television, and publishing industries. Mr. Ainsworth received a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. |
