Greg is Director of Strategic Services at Pivotal Resources. He is a Master Black Belt and Lean Sigma program executive, as well as having been an organizational change consultant and trainer over the last 11 years. In that time Greg has worked with a variety of companies, either on the inside or in consulting roles, to improve company-wide change initiative implementation and business process efficiency and effectiveness. At Sun Microsystems, his responsibilities as Director of the Lean Sigma Program Office included Lean Sigma program strategy development and implementation, Master Black Belt and Black Belt Development, including certification, Sigma and Lean training, and the Lean Sigma program management and support. He also coached team leads of projects chartered to create and utilize metrics of key corporate strategy implementation elements. As a consultant and trainer, Greg has taught Six Sigma and Lean classes to team members, project leads, coaches, champions, and business process owners. He has provided coaching support to hundreds of Master Black Belts, Black and Green Belts, with project benefits in the millions of dollars. Some of his more notable client work includes American Express, Becton-Dickinson, Carlson Companies, Cendant, Cisco Systems, GE Capital Financial Services, GMAC Mortgage, Sears Home Services, and Sun Microsystems. Prior to that Greg worked for America West Airlines, of Phoenix, Arizona, in various management capacities, both in Customer Service operations, as well as in Organization and Leadership Development. He was a quality champion of numerous customer-related projects, one of which resulted in a nomination for the USA Today annual quality award. He has published articles on Six Sigma and process management and was a contributing editor to the best-selling book, The Six Sigma Way, published by McGraw-Hill.
