Greg Irmen is Vice President and General Manager of Business and Regional Systems Commercial Systems for Rockwell Collins. Irmen is a successful business management professional with a strong background in aerospace engineering. He has over 23 years of experience in the aerospace field holding a variety of positions including Program Management Technical Director Operations Analyst and Strategic Planning and Systems Engineering.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Systems Irmen has responsibility for the Business and Regional Systems business area performance. His responsibilities include business area growth strategic planning customer satisfaction profit and loss and advanced product development program performance.
Irmen began his career at Rockwell Collins in 1997 as a Technical Director of Modular Electronics in the Government Systems Division. In this position Irmen lead the hardware software and systems engineering team in the development of advanced communication systems for military applications. He joined the Boeing Programs teams in Air Transport Systems for Rockwell Collins in 1998.
Prior to joining Rockwell Collins Irmen held a position as an Operations Analyst and Systems Engineer for McDonnell Douglas Aerospace. In this position he performed requirements capture system synthesis requirements allocation and requirements traceability for a wide range of aerospace applications.
Irmen started his professional career at The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo CA as a Systems Engineer working on advanced concepts for space based platforms.
Mr. Irmen attended Purdue University where he majored in Aeronautical Engineering and received his Bachelors degree. He then went on to obtain a Masters degree in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of California and an MBA at Maryville University.
Greg's hobbies include racquetball water skiing and all water sports and American history. He has two daughters Mariah Rose and Emily Rae.
