Greg is a legend in the game and business of golf. He serves as Chairman and CEO of Great White Shark Enterprises, a multinational corporation that comprises several companies and divisions including Greg Norman Golf Course Design, Medallist Golf Developments, Greg Norman Turf Company, Greg Norman Interactive, Greg Norman Production Company, merchandising and licensing. His development and course design companies currently have $1.5 billion in projects under development, and his golf course design company is one of the fastest growing in the world. He recently joined GPS Industries' Board of Directors and partnered with GPS to introduce the Inforemer to golf courses the world over.
In 1981 at the Masters Tournament, Norman was nicknamed "Great White Shark" for his playing prowess. He proved that moniker again and again with 20 wins on the PGA Tour, two British Open titles, and an impressive 1986 season which produced 10 victories as well as prominently ranking in US and Australia that year.
Greg Norman remains a charismatic force to be reckoned with, an affable personality in a long-revered sport. He has written two how-to guides on aggressive, advanced golf play in his unique, signature voice. In 2001, Norman was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. |
