Greg Strimple is a founding Partner of Mercury Public Affairs and the firm's director of public opinion research and advertising. Mr. Strimple has conducted hundreds of local, state, national and international public opinion surveys for corporations, business coalitions and political campaigns. Altogether, he has conducted survey research in forty-nine states and several foreign countries, including Argentina and Panama.Prior to forming Mercury, Mr. Strimple held positions in presidential, congressional and state legislative campaigns across the country. In 1996, Mr. Strimple was the Director of Polling and Deputy Political Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee where he was responsible for public opinion research in 34 U.S. Senate races.Politically, he has achieved impressive victories in some of the country's toughest Senate, Congressional and Gubernatorial races over the years. His work also includes award-winning advertising in issue advocacy and independent expenditure campaigns for the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the Republican Leadership Council.Mr. Strimple is also an expert in dealing with regulated industries, including telecommunications, energy and healthcare. In addition to his political work, Mr. Strimple provides the management lead on many of Mercury's large corporate accounts. He uses the skills developed running political campaigns to devise and execute successful public policy campaigns for some of the country's leading businesses and organizations such as AT&T, AARP and Shell Hydrogen. His political expertise allows him to give his corporate clients an innovative way to affect public opinion, regulatory policy and legislative issues. For example, in the telecommunications sector, he helped alter the regulatory environment to allow his client to maintain an advantage in their incumbent market while opening new markets for them to enter. In another instance, Mr. Strimple worked to delay a corporate merger until his client positioned itself to compete.He has also worked with clients to solve issues concerning reputation and image management, consumer marketing segmentation, crisis communications, tort reform, healthcare quality initiatives and environmental issues management, among others. |
