Greg Welch is Director of Strategic Planning for Intel's Mobile Platforms Group, overseeing long-range roadmap planning and business strategy for all mobile platform, processor, and chipset products.
Previously, Welch was Director of Business Planning within Intel's Microprocessor Marketing and Business Planning organization, responsible for long-range demand and manufacturing capacity forecasting, and coordinating strategic planning across all Intel product and support groups.
In the late 1990s, as Director of Brand Strategy in the Corporate Marketing Group, he led the implementation of Intel's segmented processor brand strategy, including the introduction of the Intel� CeleronTM, Pentium� II XeonTM, Pentium III and ItaniumTM processor brands, and managed Intel's IT Advisory Board program that formed strategic relationships with leading IT professionals from Fortune 500 companies. Before joining Intel in 1993, Mr. Welch was Director of Exhibits and one of the core team members that built The Computer Museum in Boston in the 1980s.
Mr. Welch received his A.B. degree in the History of Science from Harvard University. |
