Gregory A. Lumsden is Senior Managing Director for Countrywide Financial Corporation, (NYSE:CFC), a diversified financial services provider and member of the S&P 500. He also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for the Full Spectrum Lending division, the organization's direct to consumer lending subsidiary.
Lumsden oversees all production and operations for Full Spectrum Lending. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO of Full Spectrum Lending, he was Managing Director, Production, for the Consumer Markets and Wholesale Lending divisions of Countrywide Home Loans, Inc., and Full Spectrum Lending.
Beginning his career at Countrywide in 1983 as a Management Trainee in a retail branch, Lumsden was quickly promoted and joined the central office, where he spent a year as an Assistant Trader on the securities trading desk. In 1984, he founded and was named Senior Vice President of Countrywide's Correspondent Lending Division, which purchases mortgage loans from mortgage lending institutions across the country. In 1988, he was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Retail Branch Division, which he managed until 1994. He founded Full Spectrum Lending in September 1996. During his tenure, Lumsden also launched and led both the Home Equity and Wholesale B/C divisions of Countrywide Home Loans.
Lumsden earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University in Virginia. He also holds degrees in Political Science and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech. Lumsden served for more than two years as an Assistant to the City Manager of Suffolk, Virginia.
Lumsden is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA), CMBA Single Family Committee and Los Angeles Board of Realtors' Real Estate Finance Committee. |
