Gregory G. Laka is the son of Polish immigrants who instilled in him the importance of work, ethics, family, and God. At the age of fourteen, Greg left home and joined the seminary to become a Catholic priest with a missionary order. Greg's values and early life experiences pervade the business culture at Gregory Laka & Company.
After college, Greg joined a recruiting firm where, within five years, he became the head of that 72-person organization. During this time, Greg was one of the pioneers in establishing one of the first data processing search organizations in the United States.
In 1969, Greg started a firm, Management Information Search, that quickly grew into a seven-branch operation employing nearly 100 people. M.I.S. gained the largest midwestern United States market share in the computer search industry.
In 1987, after a brief retirement, Greg found himself seeking new challenges. At the age of 43, Greg found that his love of boating and golf were not enough to keep him from his passion of helping executives to achieve their dreams and helping businesses to acquire the best talent.
Consequently, Greg returned to the executive search industry in full force. Today, Gregory Laka & Company operates two executive search firms and, provides valuable staffing services and human capital solutions to include:
