Before founding Applied Performance Technologies, Greg has served in many IT management roles in large Fortune 500 companies, and later managing a regional office of an international IT professional services firm. His experience in project management and design helped to establish Applied Performances reputation as a critical resource in the Central Ohio IT community. His technical experience began as the lead designer and technical resource for a large mission-critical on-line system. The system controlled "Materials Management" activities for the company and encompassed orders, inventory, and other miscellaneous business systems. The development was on an IBM mainframe in an on-line 4GL environment using large network databases. He then led many projects as a manager of a growing IT consulting firm, which was later acquired by a larger international firm. Dissatisfied with the culture of the larger organization, Greg decided to build an IT organization based on integrity, trust, and professionalism. In 1988, Applied Performance Technologies was born, and has grown on the premise that people and integrity are paramount in any professional services relationship. That a companys worth is based not on the revenue it realizes, but on the results and value that are realized by the client. That philosophy is pervasive at APT today, even though the firm has grown significantly. Today, Greg manages the team that is Applied Performance, and focuses on making the firm a thriving organization, valued by its clients, and a fun place to work. He holds a degree in Business from the Ohio State University. |
